The Eden Project

The Eden Project is a popular visitors attraction in Cornwall. Inside the two biomes are plants that are collected from many diverse climates and environments. The project is located in a reclaimed Kaolinite pit, located 2 km from the town of St Blazey and 5 km from the larger town of

St Austell.

The complex is dominated by two huge enclosures consisting of adjoining domes that house thousands of plant species, the largest of the two biomes simulates a Rainforest environment and the second, a Mediterranean environment. There is also an outside botanical garden which is home to many plants and wildlife native to Cornwall and the UK in general. Click here for more information.

National Marine Aquarium - Plymouth

The National Marine Aquarium is the largest public aquarium in the UK welcoming 300,000 visitors per year. Their awe-inspiring exhibits, featuring marine animals from near and far, provide an environment that intrigues, inspires and motivates visitors. Click here for more information. 

Flambards

Newquay Zoo

Get close to over 1,000 of the world’s rarest and endangered animals at Newquay Zoo! Located on the north coast of Cornwall surrounded by 13 acres of lush tropical gardens it is a visitor attraction where you can run wild, explore and release your inner animal. Watch the lions devour their lunch and then adventure into the Tropical House (if you're brave enough) and meet some of the more unusual residents including a sloth! Barbican Leisure Park

Barbican Lesiure Park is based in Plymouth and includes a Vue cinema, a bowling alley with amusements as well as many places to eat including Frankie and Benny's, Nandos and Pizza Hut. An ideal day out especially in wetter weather. Click here for more information.

Lanhydrock House

Lanhydrock, near Bodmin, is a magnificent late Victorian country house with extensive servants quarters, gardens and a wooded estate.

It is the perfect country house and estate, with the feel of a wealthy but unpretentious family home. The kitchens, nurseries and servants' quarters offer a thrilling glimpse into life 'below stairs', while the spacious dining room and bedrooms are truly and deeply elegant.
