Looe is a busy and popular harbour town only about 2 miles away and offers a safe bathing beach as well as other activities including boat trips up the river and fishing trips. The town is split into East and West Looe and are joined together by a bridge across the river. There is a putting green and tennis courts in West looe with fine views over Looe Island.
East Looe boasts lots of pubs and restaurants and it is an ideal place to visit all year round. Looe has been voted the 3rd best place in the UK to enjoy the New Year celebrations. Find out more here.
Polperro is a picture book harbour village with narrow winding streets, cottages perched on steep slopes which overlook a small harbour. Fowey is a deep water harbour town about 10 miles from Granite Henge via the Bodinnick Ferry. Fowey is famous for being the home of Daphne Du Maurier.
